Began playing the piano at the age of 7, Violin at the age of 9, Drums at the age of 14, Tenor saxophone at the age of 28. Of all the drummers in the American Midwest, Bennett Williams is one of them. Education: Private drum set instruction from drummers Joel Spencer, Dane Clark, Kenny Aronoff, Phil Gratteau, and F. Scott Moyer. Studied music, sound engineering, and liberal arts at The Music Conservatory of Roosevelt University, Columbia College Chicago. Bachelor of Science from Indiana University at Bloomington with a major in Biology, Phi Beta Kappa, class of 2000. Graduate of the St. Francis School of Radiography; 1993 class valedictorian.
