Fibes custom drum set

1998 Fibes original Jasper shell drum set in silver glass glitter finish. Drum Sizes; (depth x diameter) 17" x 26" bass drum, 16" x 22" bass drum, 16" x 16" floor tom, 15" x 15" floor tom, 9" x 13" rack tom, 6 1/2" x 14" snare. The 16" x 22" bass drum is outfitted with Sonor spurs and bass drum tom mount from the Sonor De-Lite series, with a matching Sonor De-Lite tom mount on the 9" x 13" rack tom. The 16" x 22" bass drum also has Sonor ferromaganese steel hoops, and the 17" x 26" bass drum has Sonor bass drum spurs from the discontinued Sonor Phonic series, and custom aluminum hoops by Trick Drums. All of the toms and snare have been outfitted with Pearl Master Cast steel die-cast hoops. (some photos below may show triple-flanged hoops on the toms.) These drums were purchased through The Drum Center of Indianapolis, hardware drilling and installation was done by Ryan Payne of Payne Percussion. Front head designs by Vintage Logos. The 17" x 26" bass drum has been affectionately named "Rotunda". Click on images below for a larger image.

Purpleheart stave shell custom drum set

Custom drum set made with curly Purpleheart double-bearing edge stave shells by Joshua Tree Percussion, Purpleheart wood hoops by Stellar Custom Drums, Chrome-over-brass custom lugs from World Max, Gibraltar Pro bass drum spurs, DW bass drum tom rail mount, RIMS isolation mounts for rack tom and floor tom by Gauger Percussion. Drilling, finishing, and overall project consultation by Rob Schuh of Hard Bop Drums. Drum Sizes: (depth x diameter) 16" x 18" bass drum with 1/2" thick shell, 15" x 15" floor tom and 12" x 12" rack tom; both with 3/8" thick shells, 8" x 14" snare drum with 1" thick shell. The snare also has a Nickelworks throw-off and Canopus snare wires. Photos are arranged from left to right in order of stages of production.
